Come out and join us for this annual day of service and give back to our community! Our 2014 projects offer a variety of things to, including cleaning and maintaining the facilities, trails, and natural vegetation at Lake Poway and the Blue Sky Reserve. Would you like to avoid the dust and the outdoors? No problem! Come to the Lake Poway Pavilion and help assemble sack lunches, hygiene kits, and kid kits to benefit Interfaith Community Services of Escondido.
We will also clean up three of Ramona's Schools, Mount Woodson Elementary, Hanson Elementary, and Olive Pierce Middle School, if you're in the area!
Visit the SERVICE SITES page for more information, and sign up your family, your group, or just yourself on the PARTICIPATE page. If you have any questions, please contact us through the CONTACT page.
We hope to see you on Saturday, April 26, as we serve our community together!
The 2013 San Diego Community Helping Hands was attended by over 650 volunteers. We had four projects in four different cities with participants from more than 18 religious denominations and the Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, Poway High School, Rancho Bernardo High, Wal-Mart, Wells Fargo Bank, I Love A Clean San Diego and nearly 100 volunteers who just showed up because of hearing about the project.
We weeded, cleaned, and painted throughout Lake Poway and the parks and trails at Mataguay; we made meals and providing comfort items to homeless neighbors through North County Interfaith Community Services. Together we provided over 2000 hours of community service!
Thanks to all who participated! We hope to see you back again next year at San Diego Community Helping Hands 2014.
